Bluetongue Disease: What does the interactive map show?

The map shows the various control or restrictions zones imposed by Defra to help prevent the spread of Bluetongue Disease in Great Britain.

By using the various search methods available ( see “How do I use the map?”), it is possible to see if you live, or have your animals resident within any of the restriction zones. These are identified by coloured areas identified in the map’s legend.

The zones may change daily but the date in which the zones are in force are shown on the top left hand corner of the map.

If you have any animals which show signs of Bluetongue Disease, the map allows you to find out where your nearest Animal Health Divisional Office is. You may then contact them by the phone number provided in the table on the map and report any suspicion of disease.
